This is a great everyday thermometer!
Works great for the grill, or the oven or from a pan.
It will give you the temp in about 4 seconds, that is much fast and better then the old manual style for sure. I am liking being able to check the doneness of meat without having to cut it open and let all the juices run out! Your meat will be better because it will always be cooked just right. 
This is super easy to use and clean too. 
I just wipe off the metal probe.
It is sharp to go through your meat without any issues.
